i found the staff to be incredibly welcoming and the room spacious and comfortable, making it a great place after a long day exploring nearby st guthlac's church and the beautiful walking trails at bowthorpe oak.

The noise from late-night events was unbearable, making it hard to sleep!!! the shower ran cold, which was quite disappointing during my stay!!! Room decor felt mismatched with the pub's rustic vibe!!!

My recent stay was highlighted by the lovely decor and the exceptional gluten-free fish and chips that I thoroughly enjoyed for dinner. The staff, especially the young woman who checked me in, made sure my stay was warm and accommodating, allowing me to work remotely without a hitch. The location was perfect for my needs, but the WiFi could definitely use improvement as it was unreliable during my stay.

Soundproofing issues in the room meant I could hear everything from neighboring rooms, including a rather loud celebration next door. Breakfast options were underwhelming. fried eggs were almost hard, straying far from what one would expect during breakfast hours. breakfast ended too early at 9:00 AM, leaving little flexibility for late risers.
